Having missed the last two years of AUDW through unforseen circumstances, it was great to get back again, and to experience the whole festival afresh. It felt somewhat ‘new’ for me, despite being the eighteenth such weekend, and that might explain my feeling that this was the best one I have seen! All of the usual ingredients were there: a wonderful feeling of friendship, catching up with so many familiar faces, fantastic gear to discover and drool over, concert performances of an incredibly high standard, and, as always, a level of organisation that is first class the whole time!
